  • Thank you for this excellent blog and for the links on this page Dr Ken. I have a slight issue with the Cobra exercise. I did it once and developed severe sciatica which went away after a while. I can do the Sphinx without problems. I am a website developer which means hours of sitting at the computer which I know is bad. I try to keep an arch in my back but my muscles get very tired after a while. I’m going to try your exercises on the other page. thanks again for all you do.

      Thanks for your question Wendy. Sound like you either have stenosis or a disc herniation that is quite large or an anterior disc herniation.

      You can buy yourself a lumbar support roll which will help you keep the arch in your lower back. A rolled up towel that is secured on either end with tape or elastic bands will do as a temporary fix.
